Buying Guide
When choosing floating lanterns for water, consider material, burn time, ease of use, and environmental impact. Biodegradable paper lanterns reduce waste and are easier to dispose of after events. Lanterns with wooden bases or secure flotation help prevent tipping and ensure a steady glow. LED options minimize fire hazards and can extend lighting during longer celebrations. Customization potential, such as DIY decals or messages, adds personal significance for memorials or weddings. For large venues, plan a staged release with multiple colors or shapes to create a visually appealing waterscape.
Boat-safe and pet-safe considerations should guide selections in homes with pools or natural bodies of water. Ensure candles are securely contained, and check local regulations regarding open flames near water features. If sustainability is a priority, prioritize lanterns marketed as biodegradable or recyclable, and choose sets with minimal packaging. Finally, consider the event schedule: lanterns with longer burn times or LED alternatives may better suit all-night celebrations or extended ceremonies.
